VANCOUVER, CANADA: The sporting cliches will be rolled out about how this was a battle between David and Goliath, but Canada made a mockery of their Davis Cup ranking to defeat the top seed 3-2 in Vancouver.

Victory was clinched by Milos Raonic in the fourth rubber in Vancouver and Canada will move into unchartered territory having never previously won a World Group tie.
