  • Tie Summary

Bosnia/Herzegovina hosts a sixth Davis Cup clash with Moldova. Their last meeting was in 2008 in a Group III play-off, which Moldova won.

Bosnia/Herzegovina was promoted to Group II in 2010 and has come close to progressing further on two occasions. It’s hoping for another chance at an historic Group I promotion this time around. It made an encouraging start by defeating Luxembourg in three straight rubbers in February without the loss of a set.

Moldova has produced its best ever result in Davis Cup history by reaching this stage. Their first ever Group II first round win was over Hungary in February. They took the first two rubbers before Hungary bounced back to level the tie and force a decisive fifth rubber. Maxim Dubarenco won the tie for Moldova from a set down against Viktor Filipenco.
