  • Tie Summary

Tunisia hosts Belarus for their first ever Davis Cup meeting.

Having been entirely unbeatable in 2012, Tunisia’s luck ran out against Latvia in the opening round of Group II in February, not helped by them missing their star player Malek Jaziri through injury. They lost 3-0 forcing them into a relegation play-off having only just made a return to Group II.

Belarus lost their opening round tie for the first time in three years to Monaco led by an inspired Benjamin Balleret who won their crucial three points. Belarus will be desperately trying to avoid a drop to Group III, where it has only appeared once – in their debut Davis Cup year in 1994. They were a World Group member from 2004 to 2007.
