  • Tie Summary

Croatia play host to Great Britain in the World Group play-off and will be out for revenge. The last time the teams met was at this stage of the competition in 2007 and Britain won 4-1.

Croatia are facing relegation after they lost 3-2 to Italy in the World Group first round. Croatia have competed in the World Group for 11 of the last 12 years. The one year they missed out was after losing to Britain in the play-offs.

Great Britain are aiming to return to the World Group following a five-year absence. They overturned a 0-2 deficit for the first time since 1930 to defeat Russia 3-2 in their Europe/Africa Zone Group I second round clash. Britain do not have a good record in World Group play-offs, having only won eight of the 18 they have competed in.
