  • Tie Summary

Germany currently lead Brazil 3-2 in their head-to-head, but it was the South Americans who won the last tie between the two nations. With a place in the World Group at stake, Germany will be out for revenge.

Germany lost in the World Group first round this year 5-0 in Argentina. They were unable to play to the best of their ability in the cauldron that is Parque Roca, so they will be eager to play well in front of their own fans.

Brazil are in the play-off following a narrow 3-2 defeat at the hands of USA in this year's World Group first round. Before last year, Brazil had a terrible record in World Group play-offs, losing their previous seven ties.
