  • Tie Summary

France pulled off a dramatic comeback against Germany in a hugely entertaining tie to progress to a third semifinal in five years.

Opening day victories for Tobias Kamke and Peter Gojowczyk (who defeated world No. 12 Jo-Wilfred Tsonga in a five set epic) put a German side which was missing its top three players in a commanding position. However, Julien Benneteau and Michael Llodra combined well to win the doubles, before Tsonga and Gael Monfils completed the comeback with straight sets wins on the final day of play.
