World Group Play-off

The deadline for official team nominations is 10 days before the tie begins.

Tie preview

Belgium face Ukraine in Tallinn, Estonia seeking to maintain its berth in the World Group for another year. The Belgians have won both of the meetings between these sides, in 2006 and 2009, and will be looking to maintain that perfect head-to-head record. By reaching the World Group play-offs, Ukraine has already matched its best ever performance in the competition, and will be aiming to go one step further and take its place amongst the Davis Cup elite.

The Ukrainian team fought through a pair of five set epic matches to score an excellent away win over Sweden. Sergiy Stakhovsky won two rubbers, including a classic encounter against Johan Brunstrom which finished 1311 in the final set. Belgium had to fight to turn around their away tie in Kazakhstan, levelling the tie after being 0-2 down following the first day's play. Ruben Bemelmans couldn't complete what would have been a superb comeback, going down to Andrey Golubev in straight sets.
