  • Tie Summary

India had to work hard against Chinese Taipei, eventually recording a 5-0 scoreline that belies the struggle the team faced on the opening two days. Yuki Bhambri had to battle to record a four set win over Tsung-Hua Yang, before Somdev Devvarman defeated Ti Chen in a five set classic that ended 97 in the final set. Rohan Bopanna and Saketh Myneni then won the doubles in four sets to win the tie keep India's chances of returning to the World Group alive, while Chinese Taipei now face a fight to stay at this level, with relegation play-offs ahead later in the year.
