  • Tie Summary

Gilles Muller put in three impressive shifts for Luxembourg, helping his nation to a 3-2 win over Morocco which sends the team through to a second round tie in April. The tie was even after the first two rubbers, with Muller's win having been matched by Hicham Khaddari, who beat Ugo Nastasi in four sets. Muller was not to be denied, however, as he teamed up with Mike Scheidweiler to breeze through the doubles, before beating Khaddari (again in straight sets) to seal Luxembourg's process and leave Morocco fighting to maintain its place at this level when it competes in a relegation play-off later this year.
