Bosnia/Herzegovina survived a thrilling fightback from a Finland team that found itself 0-2 down after the first day of play following a comfortable win for Dami Dzumhur and a huge upset for Mirza Basic over world No. 45 Jarkko Nieminen. After victories in the doubles and first reverse singles had brought the Finns back into the tie, Juho Paukku held four match points against Bosnia/Herzegovina's Mirza Basic, but was unable to capitalise on them, and Basic turned the match around to seal Bosnia/Herzegovina's progress.
