HAMBURG, GERMANY: Patrick Rafter believes it's time Australia were back in the World Group following a five-year absence and is full of confidence ahead of their Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group play-off tie against Germany.

The Australian team have enjoyed a big training block ahead of the tie in Hamburg and although clay is not their favoured surface they believe they can end a series of World Group play-off losses.

Germany have the home advantage but are relying on the inexperienced Cedrik-Marcel Stebe and Florian Mayer to get some singles wins on the board.

This is Hewitt's 33rd Davis Cup tie for Australia, a new record he is extremely proud of and he talks fondly about what Davis Cup means to him.

Cedrik-Marcel Stebe (GER) - 13/09/12

Lleyton Hewitt (AUS) - 13/09/12

Captain Pat Rafter (AUS) - 13/09/12

Captain Patrik Kuehnen (GER) - 13/09/12
