Mauresmo: 'Team spirit could make a difference'

Audio interview

Amelie Mauresmo will make her debut as France's Fed Cup by BNP Paribas captain ten years after she lifted the trophy together with Mary Pierce, Emilie Loit and Stephanie Cohen-Aloro in Moscow.

Times have changed since then and with fewer French players ranked among the top 20 or 30 on the WTA rankings Mauresmo knows her team face a tough challenge against Germany in the Fed Cup World Group II first round tie on 9-10 February.

Mauresmo speaks to Chris Bowers about the upcoming tie, what she brings to the team and what she is trying to instill into her players. She also discusses the importance of team spirit, respect in the team and how the crowd could be so crucial in the tie in Limoges.
