BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: Argentina's captain Martin Jaite discusses the highs and lows of this weekend's Davis Cup by BNP Paribas first round win over Germany - an opponent they also defeated at this stage of the competition last year.

He talks of the importance of the ten days that the team spent together prior to the tie and the closeness of the squad. He was also delighted that each member of the team contributed a point to their victory, something he believes will have a huge impact on their confidence.

He also looks ahead to April's quarterfinals where Argentina will host France, one of the strongest teams in this year’s competition, in a mouth-watering tie.

Shorter and easier: just call him Max. He was a sports writer for La Nacion newspaper for 16 years before starting doing research for ESPN, consulting for the Argentine Tennis Association and writing for international publications. Max has travelled the American continent to cover football, until tennis – a life-time passion – had him wandering though the pathways of Grand Slams and Davis Cup ties. Most exciting thing? Packing for the next trip.
