Top seeds Dominican Republic advanced to the final of the Junior Davis Cup by BNP Paribas North/Central American & Caribbean Pre-Qualifying event at the expense of hosts El Salvador.

The Dominican duo of Jose Olivares and William Kirkman proved too strong for Galileo Cabrales and Atilio Flores respectively with a pair of straight-set victories securing the number one seeds’ spot in the last two.

They will play Honduras in Saturday’s final after the Honduran team secured an impressive win over in-form Guatemala. Cristian Zeron scored the first point with a 62 60 victory against Ian Amaya and then Andres Argeñal battled from a set down to defeat Ryan Muller 36 75 64 in three hours and 20 minutes.

The winner of Saturday’s final will earn a spot in the North/Central American & Caribbean Final Qualifying event in Montreal on May 2-4, with the ultimate goal being a place in the Junior Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Finals on 24-29 September.
