The four teams contesting this year's Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Europe/Africa Zone Group I second round relegation play-offs have been announced.
Russia plays host to South Africa while Sweden will welcome Scandinavian rivals Denmark to determine which teams will complete Europe/Africa Zone Groups I and II in 2014.
The winners of the ties taking place on 25-27 October will remain in Zone Group I next year, with the losers relegated to Zone Group II.
South Africa faces the daunting prospect of defeating Russia in Moscow with the task made all the more challenging by the fact that Dean O'Brien, ranked No. 557 in the world, will be leading the visitors' charge. The remainder of the southern hemisphere side is made up of Tucker Vorster, Jacob de Klerk and Raven Klaasen.
Russia will be led into battle by Alex Bogomolov Jr, with support from Andrey Kuznetsov, Karen Khachanov and Konstantin Kravchuk.
In what is sure to be an interesting clash at the Idrottens Hus in Helsingborg, Sweden will be hoping that experience and home advantage plays its part.
Without long-term absentee Robin Soderling to call upon, Sweden has named the strongest possible side at its disposal. World No. 406 Markus Eriksson and No. 529 Patrik Rosenholm are expected to contest the singles rubbers, while the doubles team consists of Robert Lindstedt and Johan Brunstrom (both Top 50 doubles players).
The Danes will be looking to 2012 Wimbledon doubles champion Frederik Nielsen to lead his team in both singles and doubles. He will be joined by Martin Pedersen, Thomas Kromann and Mikael Torpegaard.
