Name: Margarita GasparyanMargarita Gasparyan (RUS)
Age: 19
Born: Moscow, Russia
Lives: Moscow, Russia
Family: mother is a hairdresser, father has his own business. Has one younger sister.

Margarita started playing tennis aged five when her father took her to a local club. In 2010 she was a member of the Russian team who won the Junior Fed Cup Finals in San Luis Potosi, Mexico which she considers to be her biggest tennis achievement so far. Her favourite animal is a dog and she likes to listen to RnB, rock and pop music.

Age: 18

Lives: Maillen, Belgium
Family: mother has a furniture business which her dad helps to run. Has one older brother who also has his own business.

Irina started figure skating at the age of three but broke her leg while practising one day and gave up shortly after. When she was four her parents took her to their tennis club and she liked the sport straight away.  At the age of 12 she moved to Belgium to play at Justine Henin’s academy. She cites her biggest achievements as winning three junior Grand Slam doubles titles, reaching the girls’ final at Junior Wimbledon and recording a ranking of No. 165 at the age of 18. Irina is a former junior world No. 1 and was 2011 ITF Junior World Champion. When she is not playing tennis she likes going out with friends, listening to new music and she is also studying management online at Plekhanov Academy in Moscow. She also hates eggs!

Age: 24

Lives: Moscow, Russia
Family: mother coached her for the first 10 years of her tennis career, father is a businessman. No brothers or sisters.

Alisa started playing tennis aged five and was coached by her mum for the first 10 years of her career.  She started working with Julian Vespan in 2006 and is based at his tennis academy in Florida most of the time. During the summer she trains in Perugia in Italy and classes Italy as her second home. When she was younger she used to swim at a high level but had to choose between swimming and tennis at the age of 12. Her biggest achievement in tennis is when she defeated Elena Dementieva to win the title at Kuala Lumpur in 2010. Her favourite colour is blue and she likes to watch comedy shows and films. She has recently started wearing Venus Williams’s clothing range EleVen by Venus.

Age: 24
Born: Krasnodar, Russia
Lives: Moscow, Russia
Family: Father used to play handball for Russia. Her older sister Olga coaches her.

Alexandra only started playing tennis aged nine after her parents persuaded her to try it as they think it’s a beautiful sport. Both her parents played handball but they didn’t want their daughters to play as it’s so aggressive. She loves Marshall Mathers and always listens to his music - she hopes she can meet him one day. Her favourite event is the US Open as it was the first Grand Slam she played when she was 16 years old. Her favourite food is Swiss chocolate.
