The Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Asia/Oceania Zone Group II second round tie between Pakistan and Philippines has switched home venues. The tie will now be hosted by Philippines on the originally scheduled dates of 4-6 April.
The home-and-away rule dictates that this tie would normally be held in Pakistan, but ongoing security concerns in the region resulted in the situation being reviewed. The decision was taken by the Davis Cup Committee after consultation with the competition’s independent security consultants.
Philippines have chosen their venue and the tie will be played at the Philippine Columbian Association, PCA Complex in Manila. The surface will be clay and the tie will be held indoors.
