What’s the most amazing moment of your career?
Winning the French Open over Andre Agassi in five sets (1991).

And the most disappointing moment?
Losing the French Open to Sergio Bruguera in five sets (1993).

Which moment will you always remember?
I think winning my first title. It was in Basel and I beat Stefan Edberg, again it was in five sets (1989). Beating a great champion like that for my first title was very memorable.

When you were on the tour, what was the first thing you packed?

And the last thing?

What would you definitely not leave home without?

What do you do away from tennis?
I like to read. I like to play golf. Obviously I like to spend time with my wife and my friends. So all of those, and when you pack the internet in their as well you can do a lot of reading, a lot of exploring without leaving your room, which is nice when you’re on the road.

Is there any part of your career that you’d like to change if you could turn the clock back?
No, my career was a beautiful career. I was very lucky and fortunate. I worked hard and got a lot of reward for it.

And now you’re a successful business man…
I’ve had some fun and I’ve learned a lot. One of the things I should say that also interests me is learning and challenging myself. There a lot of areas to do that in and I’m exploring a few of them.

Finally, you’ve been married for almost a year, so are you going to start a family?
Well, we’re practicing! We’ll find out soon…
