Any nicknames?
“Fatty”. I was always bigger than my friends.

If you weren’t a tennis player, what would you be?
I would be a doctor. I love medicine.

Which website do you check the most?
Mostly Argentine newspapers.

What do you regard as your biggest achievement in tennis?
Regarding a match, I would say the one I won against Juan Carlos Ferrero in the 2003 Davis Cup semifinals, in Malaga. He was the world No. 1 at that moment. And I will never forget the first tournament I won, in Acapulco.

If a movie was made about your life, which actor would you want to play you?
I like Rocky, so I would say Sylvester Stallone.

What do you do when you’re not playing tennis?
I like watching movies. Since I retired in 2009 I’ve started working in my own tennis academy, in Rio Cuarto, Cordoba.

Where is your favourite holiday destination?
When I was a player I always wanted to spend most of my free time in Rio Cuarto, my home town. Right now my family is asking for a vacation, but honestly I don’t want to travel any more after so many years on the tour.

What is the best Davis Cup atmosphere you’ve played in?
Both semifinals in Parque Roca, Buenos Aires, when we won against Sweden (2006) and Russia (2008).

Who is the most famous person in your phone book?
“Torino” Chela… ha ha. I have football players, such as Esteban Cambiasso and Pablo Aimar.

If you were singing karaoke, what song would you pick?
Any “cuarteto” song (typical rhythm from the Province of Cordoba, in Argentina). Something that represents my place.

Do you have any pre-match rituals?
Listening to music.

What was the last music you downloaded on iTunes?
I like music from the 80s and AC/DC very much. They’ve just released a live album recorded in Buenos Aires.

If you could pick three people from history to have dinner with, who would they be?
Wow, what a question! Ayrton Senna, who has always been my idol. Pope John Paul II, whom I could have met during the Rome tournament, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend due to a match. And Freddy Mercury, another music idol.

What has been your best Davis Cup moment?
As said, the victory against Juan Carlos Ferrero in Malaga.

And your worst Davis Cup moment?
The Davis Cup Final we lost in Mar del Plata was one on the worst moments, although playing a Final is always great.

Tell us something about Agustin Calleri that we don’t know…
Well, the year I decided to retire I worked a little bit as a fashion model.
