What do you regard as your biggest achievement in tennis?
Winning the Shanghai Master in 2005.

Robert De Niro or Jack Nicholson.

What do you do when you’re not playing tennis?
While I’m on the tour, I practice. When I’m in Argentina, I like staying at home in my city resting with my friends.

Where is your favourite holiday destination?
I haven’t had a real holiday in a long time but I love to fish in Argentina. 

What is the best Davis Cup atmosphere you’ve played in?
Buenos Aires.

Who is the most famous person in your phone book?
Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi and Rafael Nadal.

If you were singing karaoke, what song would you pick?
I’m a bad singer but I’d pick anyone from Andres Calamaro.

Do you have any pre-match rituals?
Controlling the strings.

What was the last music you downloaded on iTunes?
I can’t remember.

If you could pick three people from history to have dinner with, who would they be?
Nelson Mandela, Napoleon and Alejandro Magno (Alexander the Great).

What has been your best Davis Cup moment?
The best moment will be if we can finally win the Davis Cup!

And your worst Davis Cup moment?
The Final in Mar del Plata in 2008 (Argentina lost 3-1 to Spain).

I’m a small town man who gives everything just to be having a barbecue surrounded by friends at home.
