Any nicknames?
Melon, actually. It was (Nicklas) Kulti, one of my former Davis Cup teammates. He tried my cap on once and it was way too big for him so he said I have a melon head.
If you weren’t a tennis player, what would you be?
Being an ice hockey player was always my dream.

What do you regard as your biggest achievement in tennis?
Winning Davis Cup twice.
What do you do when you’re not playing tennis?
Spend time with my family.
What is the best Davis Cup atmosphere you’ve played in?
The Final in Malmo, in 1996. We played literally 11 hours of tennis on the last day on Sunday. Unfortunately we lost after having three match points, but the atmosphere was something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
Who is the most famous person in your phone book?
Bjorn Borg.
Do you have any pre-match rituals?
I always used to shower in the same shower as long as I was in the tournament. Apart from that, not really.
What was the last music you downloaded on iTunes?
Bruno Mars.
If you could pick three people from history to have dinner with, who would they be?
Bjorn Borg, Nelson Mandella and Peter Forsberg.
What has been your best Davis Cup moment?
Just being part of those winning teams.
And your worst moment?
Losing that Final, actually. It’s kind of the best and the worst at the same time. The atmosphere was just incredible, but to have three match points to win the whole thing and come out losing took a while to get over.
