The ITF has announced the seeds for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group play-offs, which take place alongside the World Group semifinals on 14-16 September.
The seeds are used to determine the Draw for the World Group play-offs. The eight seeded nations, based on today’s new Davis Cup rankings, are each drawn against one of the unseeded nations.
The Draw is being held on Wednesday in London at 11am (10am GMT).
The World Group play-offs are made up of the eight losing nations from the World Group first round, plus the eight winning nations from the Zone Group I second round ties last weekend.
The winning nations in the World Group play-offs will take their place in the World Group in 2013, while the losers will compete in Group I.
