BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: Sofia Arvidsson has played for her country for 13 years and she still finds is a great honour and has a lot of fun being part of a team. The Swedes arrived on Monday and have been practicing at Parque Roca trying to get use to the change of surface from hard to clay, and of course the hot weather.
Paula Ormaechea looks ahead to ‘the most challenging tie they have faced’ as the Argentines take on the much higher ranked Sweden. The Argentine No. 1 is ranked just inside the top 200 and faces a battle this weekend against two much higher ranking opponents with Arvidsson at No. 38 and Johanna Larsson at No. 71. Ormaechea is due to open the tie for Argentina against Larsson on Friday.
New Swedish captain Lars-Anders Wahlgren talks about what a great honour it is being involved with this team and what a change it is in climate from Sweden where it is snowing to Argentina where it is very hot.
