ROQUEBRUNE CAP MARTIN, FRANCE: The USA caused the shock of the first round of the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas when they saw off Switzerland in a whitewash but Captain Jim Courier does not believe that they should be considered favourites to achieve the same result in Monte Carlo this week.
Ryan Harrisson will open the tie for the visiting nation against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in his first ever live rubber in the competition and is showing his excitement at the prospect. Courier was keen for his rookie player to kick-off the tie and he got his wish as he looks to maintain the moment from the previous round.
The French team are looking forward to playing in the magnificent surroundings of the Monte Carlo Country Club and Gilles Simon is aiming to use the experience he gained on clay earlier this year to gain an edge over John Isner in the second rubber on the first day.
