STUTTGART, GERMANY: Chris Bowers discusses the Davis Cup history between Germany and France with Philipp Kohlschreiber, and asks Florian Mayer how he feels to be carrying the team as No. 1 for the first time.

Germany are attempting to defeat France for the first time since 1938 and their recent renaissance on the tour should help the cause.

For both their opponents on day one, Richard Gasquet and Gael Monfils, it's a first taste of Davis Cup this season.
