BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: I couldn't quit in Davis Cup, especially not in front of my home crowd, David Nalbandian says after his latest heroic victory in the competition.
The Davis Cup stalwart overcame pain from a hernia to outlast Adrian Ungur in four sets in the opening rubber, and give Argentina the first point against Romania.
Juan Monaco then followed up with a four-set win over Victor Hanescu which gives the hosts a 2-0 lead going into Saturday. He echoes Nalbandian's sentiments about the special feelings you get playing Davis Cup in front of your home fans.
