BAMBERG, GERMANY: It's been over four years since Tommy Haas represented Germany in Davis Cup, but the former world No. 2 believes this is the right time for him to return to the competition. He has been nominated to play doubles with Philipp Petzschner on Saturday.
"This is where I feel I can help in some way," says Haas. "Obviously there are players here who deserve to play more than me, but hopefully I can help the team as much as I can."
Having dealt with on and off injury problems, Haas declares he's feeling the fittest he's felt for a while and looking forward to the challenge against 2011 runners-up Argentina this weekend.
Juan Monaco also talks to reporter David Hein about the benefits of having new captain Martin Jaite on board, with the support of Mariano Zabaleta.
"They are still young so they know all the players on the tour. We know each other very well, and they have alot of experience."
