PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC: Tomas Berdych might have overcome Viktor Troicki 62 61 62 in the opening rubber between Czech Republic and Serbia, but the big hitting world No. 7 explains that the scoreline doesn't reflect the match.
Despite losing just five games, the Czech maintains that he had to be at his best to win three sets against a player of Troicki's calibre.
The Serbian, meanwhile, thinks that it was his worst Davis Cup performance to date and is hoping he, as well as his team, can bounce back.
Janko Tipsarevic is also of similar mind after his toe-to-toe five-set marathon against Radek Stepanek, his "worst performance ever" coming under "difficult conditions" inside the O2 Arena in Prague.
Captains Jaroslav Navratil and Bogdan Obradovic indicate that an appearance from both Tipsarevic and Stepanek could still be on the cards for Saturday despite an exhausting conclusion to the day.
