BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: It was a team effort by the host nation to overcome Germany 5-0 at Parque Roca in soaring temperatures that played their part in the outcome of the tie.

Philipp Kohlschreiber was stunned by Carlos Berlocq as well as the South American heat before Juan Monaco, David Nalbandian and Horacio Zeballos all contributed to Argentina's victory.
