VIENNA, AUSTRIA: Jeremy Chardy was the hero for France, winning both his singles rubbers to help his team clinch a narrow victory over Austria. The visitors raced into a 2-0 lead but were pegged back to 2-2, setting the stage for Chardy, who hadn't won a match all year before this weekend, to defeat Martin Fischer in a tense fifth rubber.
