VANCOUVER, CANADA: France ran out easy 4-1 winners in the end against Canada in the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group first round. The opening two days were evenly contested, but with France leading 2-1 Milos Raonic was forced to pull out of his eagerly anticipated match with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga because of a knee injury, and the world No. 6 had little trouble sealing the tie against Raonic's replacement, Frank Dancevic. Next up for France is a home tie against USA in the World Group quarterfinals.
