OSTRAVA, CZECH REPUBLIC: The usual Czech duo of Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek caused the damage against Italy in this Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group first round tie. The pair both recorded singles wins on Friday before teaming up to clinch victory in the doubles. The final score was 4-1 after the dead rubbers were split. Czech Republic's reward is a home tie against Serbia in the World Group quarterfinals.
