ROUEN, FRANCE: The French are always deemed contenders when it comes to Davis Cup by BNP Paribas but in the kind of form that saw them oust Israel 5-0 they will be considered a firm favourite for the title.

Led by new captain Arnaud Clement, the French put on a dominant display from the first rubber to the last.
