The 100th Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Final between Czech Republic and Spain takes place at the O2 Arena on 16-18 November.

The two teams met in the final in Barcelona three years ago, when Spain won 5-0, so the Czechs will be looking to gain revenge for that loss as well as winning their first Davis Cup title as an independent nation.

Spain has won five Davis Cup titles since the turn of the century, making it the most successful team in the new millennium, while the Czechs have only got one title to their name.

Competing as Czechoslovakia in 1980 a two-man team of Ivan Lendl and Tomas Smid defeated Italy 4-1 in Prague. That year the Czechs also defeated Argentina in the semifinals so is the stage set for history to repeat itself?
