History
Australia is second only to the Americans on the all-time list of Davis Cup champions, having won the title 28 times. In 1939, when facing USA, it produced the only successful comeback from 2-0 down in a Final. Between 1905 and 1922, Aussie players represented Australasia, which was a combined Australia-New Zealand team.
