Next tie 18-20 September 2015
Croatia faces a World Group play-off in September after its defeat to Serbia in the first round. It will find out its opponents when the draw takes place on 21 July.
Last tie 6-8 March 2015
In a clash between local rivals, Croatia, without its No. 1 Marin Cilic who had to withdraw through injury, faced a Serbian side armed with world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in a tough World Group first round clash. Djokovic won the opening singles rubber in convincing fashion, and it looked like Borna Coric, Croatia's stand-in No. 1, would level the tie when he took a 2-set lead over Troicki. However, the Serbian fought back to win and the tie was all over when Djokovic and Nenad Zimonjic won the doubles. Serbia completed a 5-0 whitewash with wins in the dead singles rubber.
Croatia became the first unseeded nation to win the title, when they defeated Slovak Republic 3-2 in the 2005 Final in Bratislava. Prior to 1992, Croatian players represented Yugoslavia.
