Last tie 4-6 March 2016
France romped to victory against Canada in Guadeloupe, winning all five rubbers and not losing a set in live play. Gael Monfils and Gilles Simon put 'les bleus' ahead with singles wins over Frank Dancevic and Vasek Pospisil on day one, before Richard Gasquet and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga demonstrated their doubles ability with a win over Pospisil and Philip Bester to send France through to the quarterfinals for the seventh year in succession.
France are joint-third on the all-time list of champions having won the title nine times, most recently in 2001. They have also finished runners-up on eight occasions, including in 2014 when they were defeated by Switzerland 3-1 in the Final.
