Lebanon will compete in Asia/Oceania Group III for the first time since 2011 after suffering relegation from Group II at the hands of Sri Lanka.

Lebanon fought hard to retain its place in Asia/Oceania Group II, with Bassam Beidas winning both of his singles rubbers to force a live fifth rubber, but the nation ultimately suffered relegation when Sri Lanka's Dineshkanthan Thanangarajah defeated Karim Alayali in straight sets.
Lebanon first played Davis Cup in 1957 and reached Asia/Oceania Zone Group I on four occasions in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
