Next tie 6-8 March 2015
Luxembourg will host Madagascar in a Europe/Africa Zone Group II first round clash in 2015. Luxembourg won the only previous meeting between the two teams.
Last tie 4-6 April 2014
Luxembourg suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Denmark, but the Danes' victory was by no means straightforward as Mike Scheidweiler pushed Frederik Nielsen to five sets in the second singles rubber, and then did the same, partnering Gilles Kremer, to Nielsen and Thomas Kromann in the doubles. Despite Luxembourg's best efforts, however, it was Denmark who triumphed and advanced to the next round, where a place in Zone Group I is up for grabs.
Luxembourg's best performances in the competition have been reaching the Europe/Africa Zone Group I second round, which it achieved in 1993, 2003, 2004 and 2006. Prior to the current World Group format being introduced in 1981, it reached the quarterfinals of the European Zone in 1967 and 1971.
