Last tie 17-19 July 2015
The Ukrainians failed to build on a strong opening win by Alexandr Dolgopolov over Polish No. 1 Jerzy Janowicz and were ultimately defeated 3-1. Sergiy Stakhovsky had the chance to put the visitors in a commanding position with a rubber against much lower-ranked Michal Przysiezny. But the Pole had other ideas and cruised past Stakhovsky in straight sets. Lukasz Kubot and Marcin Matkowski gave the hosts the edge going into the final day, before Janowicz also beat Stakhovsky and Ukraine missed out on an opportunity to play for World Group promotion.
Ukraine's best Davis Cup performance came in 2009, when reaching the World Group play-offs. As an independent nation, Ukraine first played in the competition in 1993.
