Sweden selects Scandinavium as semifinal venue
The Swedish Tennis Association announced that the Scandinavium arena in Gothenburg will host the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas semifinal between Sweden and USA on 21-23 September. This is subject to a successful site visit by the ITF. The tie will be played on carpet.

The Scandinavium has been a successful venue for Sweden in previous meetings with USA. Although USA leads the overall head-to-head series 8-3, Sweden has won their last three home encounters at the arena, the 1997 final, 1994 semifinals and 1984 final.

The Scandinavium has not hosted a home tie since Sweden's 5-0 victory over USA in the 1997 final.

Tickets will go on sale at the end of May.
