| Ancic to miss Davis Cup |
Croatia's Mario Ancic will miss the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas tie against the United States because he has still not regained fitness after suffering mononucleosis two years ago.
World No. 38 Ancic pulled out of the French Open and is still unsure as to when he will next step on a tennis court. "Don't ask me when I'll return, because I don't even know the answer myself," Ancic told Vecernji list and Sportske Novosti newspapers. "Health is most important. I have to listen to my body. The fact that I canceled my favorite tournament (Wimbledon) and an important match with Americans, tells it all about the seriousness of the situation," Ancic said.
