| Decision of the ITF Board of Directors concerning an appeal by the Swedish Tennis Association |
The ITF Board of Directors, at a meeting held 2 June 2009 in Paris, considered an appeal from the Swedish Tennis Association regarding financial penalties imposed by the Davis Cup Committee following the Sweden/Israel First Round Davis Cup by BNP Paribas tie played 6-8 March 2009 behind closed doors in Malmo, Sweden.
After due consideration of the documentation provided by the Swedish Tennis Association, the Board agreed to reduce the fine from US$25,000 to US$5,000 but upheld the original decision of the Committee not to waive the gross receipts payment of $15,000.
