Czech Republic missed out on winning its second Davis Cup title in Barcelona, losing to Spain 0-5 in the Final.

Best Davis Cup Performance: Champion 1980

The Czech team won its only Davis Cup title in 1980, defeating Italy in the Final. It also reached the Final in 1975 but lost to a Bjorn Borg-led Sweden. It is one of three nations, along with USA and Sweden, to appear in the World Group in all but one year, including 2009.

NB: Played as Czechoslovakia until 1992 and Czech/Slovak Republics in 1993.
