In its first appearance in Group III since 1999, Luxembourg finished 3rd in 2009 Europe/Africa Group III. It will contest Group III (Europe) in 2010.

Best Davis Cup Performance: Europe/Africa Group I 2nd Round - 1993, 2003, 2004 and 2006.

Luxembourg lost its first 17 Davis Cup ties before defeating Turkey 3-2 in 1965. It came within one rubber of reaching the World Group Play-offs in 2003, losing in the deciding rubber to Slovak Republic.

Prior to 1981, it reached the quarterfinals of the European Zone in 1967 and 1971.
