USA won its 32nd Davis Cup title, and first for 12 years, in 2007, defeating Russia 4-1 the final.

USA won the inaugural Davis Cup. It held the trophy from 1920 to 1926 to record the most successful defences and is also one of just three nations to defend the title successfully since the abolition of the Challenge Round, doing so in 1978-9 and 1981-2.

USA possesses the longest uninterrupted run in the World Group among the elite, dating back to 1989, and holds the record with Sweden and Czech Republic for World Group appearances.
