Head of Officiating Enric Molina to leave ITF

The ITF is sorry to announce that Enric Molina, Head of Officiating since October 2011, will be leaving in April.  

Molina has decided to change careers and will be CEO and Partner of “Big Match Player”, a new athlete management and sponsorship company in partnership with Alex Corretja and based from Barcelona, Spain.  

Molina started his professional career in officiating in 1997 working as a freelance chair umpire, joining the ITF/Grand Slam team in 2002. He has officiated in four Davis Cup Finals, four Grand Slam Singles Finals, two Fed Cup Finals and two Olympics Finals.  

“We are sorry to lose Enric but wish him very well in his new undertaking,” said ITF Executive Vice President Juan Margets. “He has been one of the world’s best umpires and has done an excellent job as Head of Officiating.”

The ITF will be recruiting for the position of Head of Officiating in due course.
